Turner Field Atlanta

Project Description:
Atlanta’s 85,000 seat Olympic Stadium was the chosen venue for track and field events, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies for the 1996 Olympic Games. As part of a four way joint venture, Williams-Russell and Johnson, Inc. (WR&J) provided all of the civil engineering, plumbing and fire protection design for the stadium and participated in the some of the structural design along with another joint venture partner. The joint venture also prepared construction documents and provided construction administration for the post-Olympic conversion of the stadium into the 50,000 seat Turner Field Baseball stadium (home of our Atlanta Braves)..
